Big Give 2023 – Double Your Donations

We are excited to be taking part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge
2023 for the sixth consecutive year. Could you support our campaign – your donation will be doubled.

The Big Give Christmas Challenge 2023 launches on #GivingTuesday midday 28th
November until midday 5th December
and for one week only every donation
doubled. Our goal is to give access to a digital education to 7,200 students in low-income schools in Malawi.
Practical knowledge of IT will further young students’ education, enabling them to generate an
income, improving future job prospects and supporting wider families and communities.

Why this matters?
Malawi is one of the world’s poorest countries, ranked 18th least developed in the world – 2019 UNDP
Report. 51% of the population are under 18 and the majority leave school without developing digital
skills. Students try to learn IT and take exams without ever seeing a computer before.
With your help we can change this.

We aim to provide 9 low-income secondary schools with an IT lab starter pack of 10 computers, software and IT support providing IT facilities and digital teaching to students for the very first time. We will support schools which have little funding and cannot afford IT facilities. These mini labs are a precursor for the schools to receive a fully networked 40-seat school IT lab. This will enable students to benefit from the practical element of their ICT classes. These new facilities will enable the schools to make a small income through night schools or IT cafes to sustain the IT lab. Please email jenny@itsadigitaltrust.org to find out more.
