Giving unwanted computers a second life
“Gloucestershire College is proud to partner with the ITSA Digital Trust (ITSA) to donate our redundant PCs and other IT equipment, for secure recycling and re-use to benefit other people.
As part of our migration strategy from Windows 10 to Windows 11, we needed to replace a number of older PCs that did not meet the Windows 11 minimum specifications. Rather than sending them for disposal, we chose to work with ITSA to ensure these devices were given a safe and meaningful second life.
This free, professional service gave us complete peace of mind – all data was securely handled and Certificates of Data Erasure were provided. It’s a great example of the circular economy in action: reducing waste, preventing usable devices from going to landfill, and extending their life for real social good.
We encourage other organisations to take this opportunity to turn routine IT decommissioning into meaningful impact as part of their commitment to sustainability.”
